Another high profile casualty of vaccine mandates, the Brooklyn Nets have banned their biggest star Kyrie Irving, putting him off the team indefinitely for not getting the Covid vaccine.
Irving, who is the only unvaccinated player on the team, signed a 4-year $141 million contract with the team in 2019, intending to bring home a championship for the NBA franchise. Kyrie now stands to lose up to $15 million this season.
When asked if he expects to play at home games in the future Kyrie responded, "Please just respect my privacy...Everything will be released at a new date."
Based on New York mandates Kyrie would be ineligible to play home games, however other less stringent states would welcome him, however, the Nets have suspended him despite that! #Truthbomber
