In the grand tradition of blowing something completely out of proportion, liberals are criticizing the revamped Snow White ride at Disneyland, as Prince Charming's tender kiss to awaken the fair maiden was done without her verbal consent.
Wanting to tarnish all things wholesome, critics are insisting that this magical kiss which has been part of Disney lore for over 70 years, is nothing more than the normalization of sexual abuse being sold to children.
Theme park reviewers Katie Down and Julie Tremaine recently wrote in the San Francisco Gate newspaper, "Haven't we already agreed that consent in early Disney movies is a major issue? That teaching kids that kissing, when it hasn't been established if both parties are willing to engage, is not okay?"
Disney has come under fire for animal abuse (think Dumbo) and racist portrayals like the Siamese cats in "Lady and the Tramp" and of course, everyone's favorite Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah song which naysayers claim was inspired by a pre-Civil War song titled "Zip Coon."
Weird, everyone seems super concerned about the well-intentioned cartoons of yesteryear, yet nobody points out that Walt Disney literally produced "The Education for Death," which is an animated Nazi propaganda film released in 1943, showing a young boy becoming brainwashed by Adolph Hitler. I think that sends a much stronger message about indecency than watching an animatronic princess receive "true love's kiss." #Truthbomber
