Superstar Chris Rock has finally said what we are all thinking; shit's gotten boring!
"I see a lot of unfunny comedians, I see unfunny TV shows, I see unfunny awards shows, I see unfunny movies — because everybody’s scared to make a move,” said the 56-year-old comedian.
Rock, one of the most prolific and successful comedians of our generation, blames cancel culture for the decline in laughter and happiness, noting that people are also "disrespecting" the audience by not letting them decide for themselves what's funny, offensive or even entertaining.
"Now you got a place where people are scared to talk [which is bizarre] especially in America.”
He's absolutely right! For a country that was founded on the concept of freedom of speech, it is truly sad that our comedians are fearful of joke-telling and our award shows are nothing more than glorified political rallies with tuxedos and bling. Worse, we are fostering a new generation to learn that America doesn't accept them for their beliefs unless they align with the liberal left. Anyone else can stay in the proverbial closet and not interrupt their distorted agenda to sanitize America. The last time I checked, that sounds like the opposite of a free society, and that's no joking matter. #Truthbomber
